NIAAA’s 50thAnniversary

2020 marks the 50th anniversary of the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), the world’s largest funder of alcohol research—supporting comprehensive, multidisciplinary studies to advance and disseminate evidence-based knowledge to improve the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of alcohol use disorder (AUD) and alcohol-related problems across the lifespan.

NIAAA has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to disseminating science-based research information, tools, and resources for clinicians, patients, and families, including the publication of this journal. Publication of Alcohol Research: Current Reviews supports NIAAA’s mission by disseminating research findings to the alcohol research community.

ARCR will continue to provide a platform for alcohol researchers to integrate research findings and explore new ideas to improve health.
